Robert Williams

Robert Williams age 88 of Aracoma went to be with the Lord on Wednesday June 4, 2008 at the home of his daughter Kay and (Bennie) Browning of Dempsey Branch following and extended illness. He was born on August 29, 1919 in Russell County, Virginia, a son of the late Jonah "Doc" and Mattie Williams. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Almeda Blevins Williams (his baby), One Grandson: Jeremy Keith Messer and Four Brothers: Paul, Carson, Forrester and Guy Williams. Mr. Williams was retired from C.J. Hughes Construction. He was also a World War II Veteran stationed in Germany. He was a member of the West Logan Church of God. Survibvors include Three Sons: Robert Jr. of Roanoke, Virginia, David (Mary Ann) Williams of Lavalette, WV and Frank (Donna) Williams of Logan, Three Daughters: Diana (James) Smith of Florida, Kay (Bennie) Browning of Dempsey Branch and Teresa (Dale) Ellis of Roanoke, Virginia, Six Sisters: Beatrice (Ed) Nelson , Peggy Elkins, Gay Damron, Ann Starr, Brenda (Curt) Salyers all of Verdunville, WV and Shelby Baisden of South Point, Ohio, Two Brothers: Thomas (Marie) Williams of Summersville, Georgia and Forrest "Bo" Williams of Mud Fork, 12 Grandchildren: Michael, Bobby, Carson and Tyler Williams, Aaron Messer, Jamie and Sean Smith, Leanna Williams-Ellis, Joanna Williams Danielle and Nicole Ellis and Jill Rebar, 2 Step Grandsons: Brian and Jody Browning, 10 Great Grandchildren: Samuel and Luke Rebar, Jacob and Ashley Smith, Lauren, McKenzie, Cooper, Abby Williams, Alera and Elijah Messer, 3 Step Grandchildren: Anna, Jessica and Sara Browning. Also a very special caregiver Crystal Angie Hall. Funeral services will be Friday June 6, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the West Logan Church of God. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
