Ruby "Browneyes" Conley, 67, of Verdunville was born January 25, 1940 at Verdunville. She went to be with the Lord on March 4, 2007 following a long illness. Ruby was the daughter of the late Jim and Shirley Blair both of Mudfork. Ruby was a homemaker, a loving wife and grandmother. Mrs. Conley was a member of Mudfork Freewill Baptist Church. She was loved and cared by so many. She had never met a stranger. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Archie Conley Sr. Two sons; Ronald Jean and Archie Conley Jr. One daughter, Connie Francis Conley. Four sisters; Nitty Frye, Mary Browning, Ruth Burgess and Francis Staton. One brother, Dewey Blair. Those who Ruby cherished and loved whom she left behind were her baby son, David Conley of Verdunville, Johnny (Keisha) Conley of Holden, Naomi (Lewis) Roach of Verdunville and Kathy (Darrell "Fuzz") Sheppard of Verdunville. Ruby had eight grandchildren; Delana Gore, Pete Conley, Rachael Egnor, Lewis Roach, Adam Roach, Bobbie Conley, Joni Morgan and Donald Hatfield II. Two step grandchildren; Darrell "Bub" Sheppard and Cheryll Sheppard. Ruby had nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws and many friends. Ruby was a very well known person and she loved all her kids and grandchildren. Ruby will always be in our hearts and our memories. And thanks to Hospice and Auxi Health, Ruby will remember them forever. Visitation will be Wednesday March 7, 2007 from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M at the Mudfork Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be Thursday March 8, 2007 at 2:00 P.M with Rev. Elbert Collins Jr. and Rev. Dewey Gore officiating. Burial will follow in Conley Cemetery at Workman Hollow.
