Sandra Smith

Sandra Smith, 53 of Whitman departed this life Friday May 19 at her residence. She was born March 24, 1964 in Marietta, OH to the late Delbert Binegar and Julia Lightfritz Binegar. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by: her siblings, Wayne Binegar, Theresa McMahn, and Bob Binegar. Those left to cherish her memory include: her husband, Thomas Smith; her daughter, Alicia Maynard; her son, Anthony Smith; her brothers, Chester Binegar and Ed Binegar; sister, Angie Ward; grandchildren, Danielle Smith, Breanna Smith, and Alexis Maynard. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday May 24 at Akers-James Funeral Home at Logan with Rev. James Ed Baisden officiating. Burial will follow the next day, Thursday May 25 at 12 p.m. in the Carter Cemetery at Fort Blackmore, VA. Friends and family may call from 6 p.m. until the time of the service Wednesday also at the funeral home.
