Sarah Marcum

Sarah Marcum, 102, of Madison, formerly of Coal Branch, went to be with Jesus on Monday January 1, 2007 at the residence of her devoted great-nephew and his wife, Phillip and PJ Marcum with whom she made her home. She was born August 5, 1904 in Wayne Co., WV. Sarah was the wife of the late Hubert Marcum and the daughter of the late Jim and Maggie Adkins. Sarah was a member of the Atensville Old Regular Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her three daughters; Irene Marcum, Patsy Lusher and Mary Browning. Two sons; Elmer (Bo) Marcum and Lee Marcum. She was loved by a host of family and friends and also her special caregivers; Jeanna Baldwin, Ruby Jeffery and Amy Jeffery. Visitation for friends and family will be Thursday January 4, 2007 at 11:00 A.M at James Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon at James Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Belcher officiating. Burial will follow in Guyan Memorial Gardens at Godby. Pallbearers will consist of family, including Honarary Pallbearers great-great-great-nephews Jon Baldwin, Wade and Matthew McComas and Brody and Isaac Workman.
