Shane Michael Vance, 27 of Rossmore, WV departed this life, Saturday, August 7, 2021, at home.
Shane was born April 3, 1994, the son of Lucy Cook and Leonard Vance Jr., and was a 2012 graduate of Logan High School. He had a loved for the Cincinnati Bengals. Shane was the father of Carson and Callie, whom he loved more than they will ever know.
Shane was preceded in death by his grandparents, Shelia K. Crum, Leonard and Yvonne Vance; great-grandparents that helped raise him, Sidney and Hazel Crum; aunt and uncles, Ronald Crum, Pete Spradlin, Bessie Booth, Eva Crum, Frances and Stella Wilburn; cousins, Denny Lambert, and Mathew Miller; and bonus grandmother, Viola Wilburn.
In addition to his children and parents those left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Kennadee Vance (Jeremy Music), that Shance loved beyond measure from the moment he first held her, Kaylee Webb, bonus sister, but loved just as much; brother, Raistlin Cook, who Shane was so proud of; step-father, C.R. Cook; niece, Kylie Trent, that he loved like his very own; grandparents, Ruby Spradlin, David Crum, and Janet Cook; aunt and uncles, Jamie (Greg) Mullins, Cherry (Billy) Skidmore, Charles (Kayla) Skidmore, Geoff (Rachel) Blankenship, Jack (Audrey) Blankenship, Tommy (Sherri) Glycadgis, Kenny Crum, Donald Crum, Kay Adkins, Crissy (PJ) Lambert, Nikki (Denny) Lambert, and Sherrie (Jamie) Jones, cousins, Samantha, Emily, and Jimmy Chafin, Sid Crum, Michelle and Ashlee Nelson, Kailyn Kolovich, Ryan Blankenship, Garrett Glycadgis, Jimmy May, Danyell (Caleb) Long, Zane Crawford, Owen and Vera Blankenship, Tiffani Spradlin, Corey Lambert, Megan Sexton-Harness, Lola Booth, Eva (Tony) Stanley, Mary (Gene) Booth, Andy (Mandy) Booth, April (Randy) Bevino, Michael and MiKayla Miller, Asyiah Jones, Crystel Wilburn, Dallas and Magnolia Lambert; great-aunts, Sadie Booth, and Hester Litteral.
Those very special to Shane, Bobby (Kimmy) Spradlin, more of a brother and father than a cousin, their sons, Pete and Colton Spradlin, who were like his nephews, Jackie Lynn Blankenship (Ethan Meeks), his first little sister and best friend, Tara and Ryker Williams, who always had a special place in his heart, Tyler Woosley, life long best friend, David and Heather Woosley, whom he considered his other dad and mom, Dylan and Allie Woosley, both like younger siblings, Floyd Hall, like a brother, The Ison Family, Roger, Judy, Travis, and Renee, that were a second family to him along with, Josh Ison, his best friend, Jim, Matt, and Scotty Mullins, more than cousins, like brothers, special women who were more like aunts, Mary (Sammy) Malaga, Kim (Mike) Resler, and Mary (Ronald) Blankenship, Jamie Grimmett, the annoying little sis, Jerry Mullins, was more than a cousin, special life long friends, JoJo Clemens, Drew Hardin, Aaron Smith, Jason Farmer, and Patrick Calloway, Shaneâs fur babies, Max and Danni, along with many more family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Akers-James Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the time of the services.
