Sherry Ann Adkins, 36, of Mitchell Heights passed away Saturday May 19, 2007 in CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston. She was born July 19, 1970 in Man to Robert and Linda Kilgore Stepp. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; Eli and Edna Stepp, Maternal grandparents, Kas and Louise Kilgore and her father-in-law, Benny R. Adkins Sr. Mrs. Adkins was a X-Ray Technician and a Veteran of the Desert Storm. She was survived by her husband, Benny Adkins Jr. Her children whom she was a loving mother to, Benny III, and Jacob both at home and Britny Stepp of Amherstdale. Her brother, George (Drema) Stepp of Beckley. Her sister, Janice (Ricky) Wilburn of Accoville. Her nephews, Ryan Stepp of Beckley, Michael Light of Amherstdale, Allen Stepp of Beckley, Erik Wooten of Justice Addition. Her nieces, Jenna Mathis of Justice Addition, Tara Sheppard of Huntington and Hailey Adkins of Whitman. Her grandmother-in-law, Ethel Browning of Justice Addition and her mother-in-law, Bonnie Adkins of Justice Addition. Her sister-in-law, Cyndi (Jeff) Wooten of Justice Addition and her brother-in-law, Mark (Becky) Adkins of Whitman. Her special friend and sister in the fight against Cancer, Tracy Watson of Hurricane. She was a member of the Cornerstone Family Fellowship Church in Whitman. She was a 2004 graduate of SWVCTC where she was VP of the Radiology Technician Class, President of the Student Government Association and The Board of Governors. She was also a former member of the Logan Civic Little League Board of Directors. Sherry always found time for her family and she especially enjoyed watching her sons participating in sporting activities. Visitation will be Tuesday May 22, 2007 from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. at James Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Wednesday May 23, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at Central United Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Belcher officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Pallbearers will be her family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeff Wooten, Doug Witten, Don Wandling, Rob Kuenzel, Greg Brennen, Cliff Adkins, Randall Adkins, Rodd McDonald, Chuck Preston, Mike Dalton, Chad Akers, Darren Akers, Cliff Motes, Lonnie Sammons, Farron Doss, Roy Wilburn, Rick Slack, Les Adkins, Randall Stepp, James Stepp, Clark Perry, Greg Burgess, Larry Browning, Ronnie Browning, Fred Harvey Jr., Monty Boytek, Brian Acord, John Howerton, Gary Corns, Al Minnick, Brent Clay and players of the Logan Civic Little League.
