Steven Charles Harrison

Steven Charles Harrison, 50, of Aracoma departed this life Saturday September 2, 2023, peacefully at his home. He was born March 8, 1973, to the late Thomas and Anita Harrison and in addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his precious fur baby, Bella.

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 33 years, Ruby (Perry) Harrison of Aracoma, his only baby and light of his life Stephanie (Mary) Harrison of West Logan, His beloved mother-in-law, Linda Perry of Lundale. 1 brother, Thomas Harrison of City View, 1 sister, Joani (Wallace) Starr of City View, 2 nieces, Zoey and Mackenzie, 2 nephews, Trey Ray and Joseph (JoJo) of Logan and a host of numerous family and friends.

Steven followed in his father's footsteps and became a coalminer until he became disabled in 2013. He loved spending time with his family and friends and never met a stranger. Steven enjoyed the great outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting, gardening and just talking with anyone who happened to go by. Steven will be missed by anyone who knew and loved him per his wishes he will be cremated so that his ashes can be later combined with his wife’s so they can spend eternity as they have most of their lives.... together.

A memorial will be held Friday September 8, 2023, to celebrate his life at 6:00pm with Clifford Rawls officiating at Akers-James Funeral Home of Aracoma. Friends and family are welcome.
