Taylor Warren Smith

Taylor Warren Smith, a lifelong resident of Logan WV, lost his short battle with cancer on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at CAMC Memorial, where he was surrounded by his family. He was born February 8, 1950 to Roy and Mamie Smith. He was one of nine children and was preceded in death by his parents and two oldest brothers, Robert Smith and Roy Smith Jr. He loved spending time with his family that included his surviving siblings: Delores Cole, Linda Farmer, Mary Roarick, Sharon Fowler, Challis (Patty) Smith and Delbert (Kathy) Smith. After returning home from Vietnam (1968,1969), where he served in the United States Army. Taylor Married Donna Minton and In the Spring of 1971, they welcomed a son, Warren Paul (Anna) Smith. He loved his grandchildren: Ashley Smith, Chad Allen, Sarah Allen, Heather (Zach) Smith. He had two great grandchildren: Garrett Warren Allen and Myles Korner. Taylor enjoyed playing music, working on cars with his son. What he enjoyed the most was spending time with his family and friends. Not a day passed that he was not out visiting or checking up on his sisters and his son. He was always the first to show at a family function and the first to offer his help to anyone who needed it. He will always be loved and missed by everyone who knew him. Honoring his wish his remains were cremated.
