Tilda (Blondy) Finley Conn

Tilda “Blondy” (Finley) Conn, 81, departed this life Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Trinity Healthcare Services of Logan. She was born March 28, 1939 to the late Brookie (Hannah) McClanahan and Ance Finley. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jack Conn; brother, William Ray Finley; sisters, Mandy Messer and Kit Boyd; sisters-in-law, Elane Finley, Wanda Finley, and Sandy McClanahan. Tilda was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a compassionate and creative person who will be missed by many people she touched in her life. She loved her church family and friends. Tilda looked forward to the activities at the nursing home and was an avid bingo player who was always determined to win. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (James) Jewett of Ohio and Wanda “Sue” (Jackie) Nelson of Dunlow, WV; son, Johnny Ray (Angie) Conn of Yawkey, WV; brothers, Andrew Finley of Utica, IL, Jake Finley of Danville, WV, Earl “Peanut” McClanahan Jr., and Leonard “Joe” (Cheryl) McClanahan of Dingess, WV; grandchildren, Jackie Lee Nelson, Jason Nelson, Amy Jewett, Kayla Maerker, Paige Conn, and Joshua Conn; 5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Trinity Healthcare of Logan for their loving care and support. Graveside services will be held at 12 p.m. Friday July 24, 2020 at Highland Memory Gardens with Rev. Ray Messer officiating. Burial will follow the services.
