Wade Marcum

Wade Marcum, husband of Jannie Marcum, of Kirk, WV, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2007 at his residence. He was born on September 9, 1921 in Breeden, WV, son of Dee and Nettie Marcum. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandsons Timmy and Darrell Marcum. He was a retired, self-employed, saw-mill operator and a member of Echo United Baptist Church. Survivors include his children: Glen Marcum, Wade Marcum, Jr., Paul Marcum and Joann Derossette of Dingess, WV, Nettie Parsley of Breeden, WV, Willis Marcum of Verdunville, WV, Bessie Muncey-Fleming of Louisa, KY and Ernest Marcum of Ocala, Florida. He was also the grandfather of 26 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2007, at Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church in Dingess, WV, with Elder Gilbert Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in the Wade and Jannie Marcum Cemetery in Kirk, WV. Friends may call after 6 p.m. on Friday, March 09, 2007 at the church. Funeral Services have been entrusted to James Funeral Home of Aracoma, WV.
