William (Bill) Riley Welch

William Riley "Bill" Welch, 67, of Holden went to be with the Lord on Thursday July 26, 2007 in Logan Regional Medical Center. He was born December 31, 1939 to the late John and Pearl Hurley Welch. He was also preceded in death by two brothers; Ray and Russell Welch, one sister, Rachel Welch and a brother-in-law, Herman Horne. He was a member of the 14 Whitman Freewill Baptist Church where he gave his life to the Lord on April 21, 1997. He was retired from the Logan Co. Board of Education and a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Bonnie Welch. Three daughters; Vivian Dawn Parson of Holden, Tonya (Randy) McLemore of Mudfork and Camry Welch at home. Four grandchildren; Ashley (Brian) Hensley of Logan, Joshua Chambers of Holden, Randalyn and MaKayla McLemore both of Mudfork. Two great-grandchildren, Rylee and Jesse Hensley both of Logan. Two sisters, Rita (Jimmy) Hill of Whitman and Ruth (Glen) Maynard of Surfside Beach, South Carolina. Three brothers, John (Sandy) Welch of Whitman, James (Penny) Welch of North Carolina and Ralph (Shirley) Welch of Lexington, Kentucky. His brothers and sisters-in-laws, Lloyd (Sherry) Flowers of Mill Creek, Edith Horne of Whitman, Edward (Lois) Flowers of Tampa, Florida and Norma Sperry of Joliet, Illinois. Other survivors include a host of nephews, nieces, family and friends. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at the 14 Whitman Freewill Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior to the services. Rev. Alvis Porter Jr., and Rev. Cebern Blankenship will be officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens with Military Graveside Rites. Pallbearers will be; Bobby Horne, John Henry Welch, Josh Welch, James B.
