Chris is a 2008 graduate of Chapmanville Regional High School, a 2016 graduate of Southern West Virginia Community & Technical College, and a 2019 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. Chris began his career with Akers-James Funeral Home in June of 2015 and became a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in September of 2020. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, his wife Betty and their 4 sons, Ryder, Jensen, Lane, and the newest addition to their family, Christopher. Chris is licensed to sell Preneed Funeral Contracts in West Virginia and is commissioned as a Notary Public in West Virginia. He is a member of the WV Funeral Directors & Crematory Operators Association and a member of the National Funeral Directors Association. A life-long resident of Logan County he resides on Mill Creek and is proud to serve the community he grew up in.
